The Law School's International and Comparative Law Certificate Program allows students enrolled in the JD program to add formal structure to their international studies. The Certificate Program enhances a basic broad-based legal education with a focus on international and comparative legal studies.
The School of Law's Master of Laws (LLM) Program for Foreign Law Graduates is a one-year program that provides lawyers who have obtained their law degree outside the United States with an opportunity to study common law in a United States context. It is designed to prepare each student to return to his or her home country with the ability to understand the basic structure and operation of the U.S. legal system and thus better work with clients and lawyers from the United States.
The Doctor of Juridicial Science (S.J.D.) is the Law School's most advanced degree. It is a research degree with no formal course requirements. Each student must complete and defend a published dissertation, supervised by a faculty advisor.
